Canopy sits in the woods on the North Campus of Independence Golf Club in Midlothian — about 15 miles (25 minutes) from downtown Richmond, and an easy drive from Chesterfield, Powhatan and Short Pump. Park at the clubhouse and follow the signs for North Campus down to the course.

Good questions
How old do you have to be to climb?
Climbers must be at least 10 years old, at least 4'9" tall and under 250 lbs (subject to harness fit). Ages 10–14 need a participating chaperone, and a legal guardian must sign the waiver for anyone under 18.
How long does a visit take?
An Adventure Pass is 2.5 hours, starting with a 20–30 minute hands-on safety training. Arrive 15 minutes early — it’s about a 10-minute walk from the clubhouse lot to the course.
Do I need a reservation?
Yes, we don’t accept walk-ups. Book online or call (804) 476-4919. Slots fill quickly in warmer months.
What should I wear?
Clothes you can move in, plus closed-toe, closed-heel athletic shoes or boots (Keens aren’t considered closed-toe). Gloves are required, and we lend them free.
What happens if it rains?
We climb rain or shine, so dress for it. We close for severe weather such as high winds, thunder, lightning or ice, and if we close we’ll help you reschedule. Tickets aren’t refundable.
